14 Tips for Compressor Operation

1. Do not change the setting values of the exhaust gas thermometer, thermal relay and adjustable differential pressure switch without authorization to prevent malfunction and damage.
2. When the machine is running, the door should be closed tightly. Do not remove all kinds of caps, loosen or disassemble any joint devices, or perform other dangerous operations.
3. Do not run the air compressor above the safe exhaust pressure to prevent the motor from overloading.
4. When the compressor unit is running, do not touch the oil and gas tank, main engine, motor and oil pipe to avoid burns.
5. The cooling device of the air compressor must ensure normal operation.
6. The motor, temperature control meter, electric control box, and wires in the compressor are inspected daily by a special person; the oil and gas separator filter element is replaced once every two months. (Time is for reference only)
7. Before starting up, you must open the oil drain valve to drain the condensate from the body; and determine the interval between draining the condensate according to the actual situation.
8. Before draining condensate, draining and refueling, make sure the system pressure is zero.
9. When the temperature is below zero, it must be ensured that there is no "icing" in the oil cylinder to start the machine. When the temperature is very low in winter, the condensate should be drained after the last shutdown before the temperature of the oil cylinder has dropped to zero.
10. The water-cooled air compressor is shut down in winter, and the water in the cooler must be drained to prevent frost cracking.
11. When servicing the air compressor, you must cut off and lock the power supply, hang a warning sign, release the pressure in the air compressor, and close the shut-off valve to block other air sources.
12. Before dismantling any pressured components, you must confirm that the pressure in the system is zero.
13. Welding is not allowed near the oil system to prevent the lubricant from burning.
14. After maintenance, you must confirm that there are no tools, parts, rags, etc. left in the compressor.
